The truck just stopped and it will crank but wont start we were thinking it could be the high pressure fuel pump but not sure how to test this ourselves. Diesel ford will crank but wont start acts like if you have the 6.0 ltr diesel, then check the bowl where the 2nd fuel filter is, see if there is fuel in the bowl, if not then either your fuel pump.

Everything comes on like normal but there is nothing else,no click or anything. The obdii codes stored in the computer can really help diagnose the issue. I picked up my new 2017 f250 with a 6.2l engine in it on friday.

Also, try starting in neutral instead of park, and listen for the fuel pump to see if it is priming, that is assuming that the engine is cranking and not starting. If your f250 won’t start, be happy if you see the check engine light. Yesterday and today when i go to start it in the morning it will not engage the starter.
