A very warm welcome upon our arrival on a very cold day added to our appreciation of the evergreen inn & tavern. Either by beach or by sidewalk, this historic guest house is within walking distance of the palace playland in old orchard beach—new england's only beach front amusement park. The curtis house is named for george william curtis, who along with his wife anna shaw, called this home in the summers.
