Honda gx390 electric start no spark. So i'm working on a real honda gx390. Forged steel crankshaft and rigid crankcase. Oil level sensor is disconnected, replaced the coil with a genuine honda part.

So i'm working on a real honda gx390. Still no spark when turning over. We adjusted valves and everything pulls well, nothing visibly broken.

Check the kill wire that goes to the magneto.if you wired it up wrong or the switch was wrong there is a good chance you sent 12v battery power down the kill wire & fried the ignition control module in the coil. Yes, we used the plug as well. So i replaced the coil with a new one.
